James “Jim” O’Connor is the Vice President of Supply Chain Management for Henry Ford Health System, a nationally recognized, integrated healthcare organization located in Southeastern Michigan. He is responsible for the Supply Chain Management continuum of Strategic Sourcing, Procurement, Logistics & Operations Management, Vendor Compliance & Management, Supply Chain Systems and Financial Reporting.
Jim joined the Henry Ford Health System in May of 2006. Prior to joining the Henry Ford Health System, Jim was the Executive Director, Supply Chain Management for Trinity Health, a national Catholic healthcare organization. Additionally, Jim spent the majority of his career with the Detroit Medical Center, a regional multi-hospital academic medical center, where Jim served in the capacity as Vice President, Materials Resource Management. Jim has a Bachelors of Science degree in Administration and Graduate Certificate in Health Services Administration from Central Michigan University.
